An old friend sent me a text message just as I was about to go out. A simple “Hi, how are you?” brings back old memories once again. For the next 30mins or so, I found myself staring on the cellphone, replying every single incoming message from her. It was a simple, small talk at first .. and it slowly goes on to our college days memories.

How time flies and people changed along the way. We’re no longer as close as we once were and it hurts so much not being able to bring ourself to talking on the phone, instead of text messaging. It’s not like we had arguments in our past friendship, but I guess the distance made us who we are right now. We haven’t seen or talk to each other for a long time and it would be really awkward for us to talk on the phone. I know neither of us would be able to create a topic for the conversation.. so at the moment, text messaging is the only option.

I wish I could just tell her how much I miss us. How much I adore her as my best of friend, how much I miss all the crazy things we did together.. but I just couldn’t.
