My friends called me up earlier today to tell me that they were around my neighborhood and wondered if they could stop over. I said sure, why not.
“Hey, we also bought some foods so we could watch a movie or something.”
“Okay.”
The moment I opened the door for them, I KNEW they brought this too:

Hey.. they kinda looked like kidneys..
Durian.. OMG!!
While some of you might jump in joy seeing it, I almost puked on my favorite shirt! I’ve always tried to avoid Durian in supermarkets, now I have it right in front of me. I don’t eat those.. because I couldn’t stand the smell.. Well, I used to love Durian but I’ve no idea why I couldn’t stand their smell anymore. Anyway, they end up eating Durian at the balcony.
PS: I took the Durian photo with a towel tied on my face. Pretty smart, eh?

It’s a kind of fruit, Erin.
Also known as “Fruit King” in Malaysia, because they have a hard skin, and very thorny too.
They’re VERY yummy, but they also have this very strong smell..

Even my family think it’s weird for that sudden change. I’ve never fell sick from eating them, the change just happen!
I seriously believe the alien abducted me some night and changed everything in my brain – that includes my appetite for Durian and Rambutan. Can you believe that.. I can’t take Rambutan as well now..

I wonder if maybe it’s just one of those things where you ate it so much as a kid that now you can’t stand it. There are some foods that my mom made so much that now I can’t eat them! (Not a big fruit fan anyway though…)

Lucifer: Wow, Fukouka, I wanna visit there someday! I heard it’s beautiful over there. Oh man, you even know it’s a D24 Durian?!! You have a very good er.. Durian sense!!
I hope you’re right. I hope those aliens will give me back my love for Durian.
Erin: I hope you’re right too… maybe I had too much of Durian before and now I’m sick of it. *fingers crossed* I hope I’d be able to eat it again someday.
