An August 1st Entry

I woke up pretty early that usual today. I wonder if it’s gonna rain again.. Mother Nature doesn’t seem to like me these days. She tend to pour rain whenever I decided to wash and hang my laundry outside – when did not, she gave me sunshine all day. Yesterday she gave me a heavy downpour, by the time I went to fetch my clothes, they were already soaking wet.

T___T

Oh, last night was quite interesting. I went to a mamak stall somewhere in Hartamas to grab a bite with my friend. The waiter gave me a menu and stood beside me, explaining their menu and specials of the day. He was speaking in English, but I could hardly catch his words. (He keeps referring me as “Yes Madame” too!) It was more like:

“……lassi……briyani….yes, madame…….chicken masala……..”

steak.jpgThose were the only words I could understand. And then I noticed they have lamb chop in the menu. Wow. I thought. RM10 only. So I decided to give it a try.. Minutes later, my lamb chop arrived. Looks good, smells good. But it was SUPER tough!! I even splashed the sauce unto my friend’s shirt in an attempt to slice the meat. Grrrr… Can you believe that? I asked for a second knife and both could hardly cut through. Well… if it was that tough to slice, imagine eating them? It’s like eating some rubber, only it taste like black pepper.. Too bad neither of us brought our camera or I’d show you how it looked like.

At least I learned a lesson. If you feel like eating lamb chop, go to a Western food restaurant instead of mamak. Heehee.
