I was busy chatting with my sis in-law online when a chat window popped up.
“Finally I see you again!”
I had no idea who this person is so I ignored him.
“Thought I’d never see you online!”
Annoyed, I replied: Do I know you?
“Yes you do! I stopped by Kota Kinabalu a few years ago and I met you at a cafe. Your friend offered me a piece of cake.”
OMG, it’s HIM!! LOL, I never thought I’d hear from him again. A sweet Spanish guy who travels the world with his bestfriend and his DSLR camera. When he made his stop in Kota Kinabalu a few years back, we met at a cafe. His next stop was Bangkok and I’ve never heard about him no more. I thought something bad happened to him *touch wood* but turns out he’s alive and kicking. Hahahaha!
He told me about his adventures and how happy he is, traveling across the globe. To be honest, the word “travel” and “across the globe” sounds really interesting and inviting. Sometimes I wish I could do the same too: pack my bags and be on my way to discover the beauty of planet Earth. :-P
Do you know anyone who travels across the globe as well? You know, tis the season to be jolly. If you know someone like that and you plan to buy a gift, you should consider getting him/her a Globetrotter's LogBook® . When I first saw this, I was thinking: WOW, if he comes over to visit me for Christmas, I’d definitely get him one! Cute and unexpensive, this is one book every globe trotter should have. Includes detailed Vaccination and Flight Register, flag, key figures and souvenir space for the world’s current 193 independent countries and their 58 Dependencies & Territories and many more! For only 12.95 euro, it is shipped worldwide by Registered Mail. If you’re too busy to wrap it as a gift, they also have a wonderful Gift Wrapping for only 3.95 euro extra. They even write your personal message by hand on the card!
As for the time being, I’ll just continue with my Christmas shopping for my family: until I hear from him again that is. LOL!

Wow! I think it’s really cool to be a globe trekker. I love traveling but have no $$$ for that so I settle for wherever I can go. I also met some nice people last year while traveling solo to Hong Kong. I still keep in touch with them via Facebook.
ethel: Same lar.. I’d love to travel the world too.. but I don’t have the $$$. :-(
Feel like saying something? Say lah.. :P
