Oh My Poor, Poor Foot

Remember the wart on my left foot? Well, after almost 2 months of treating it with Salicylic Acid, there wasn’t any signs of improvement at all - so I decided to visit the doctor yesterday evening. Since it was a weekday, I was pretty sure I’ll be seeing the other doctor (the older one) .. but whaddaya know.. turned out it was the cute doctor ! OMG! So malulah.. hahaha!

Anyway, the doctor told me it wasn’t wart - it was callous.

Me: Can you remove the callous? I’ve read about the freezing way.

Doctor: Yes, I can. But I’ll be using the burning way instead. If you want to go for it, I must warn you, it’s gonna be painful.

Me: Painful?! But.. aren’t you gonna do something to my foot first, like numb it?

Doctor: That’s the painful part - the jab to numb your foot.

Me: But how come??

Doctor: Injecting on any other parts of your body is not as painful as the feet. Just like stepping on thorns are pain enough - inserting a needle is more painful .

Me: Oh dear!

(At this point, the cute doctor gave me a grin. Probably laughing at me..)

Me: So tell me, on a scale of 1 to 10, how painful is it?

Doctor: Painful.

Me: Goodness, that must mean 10! Did any of your patients did this before? How did they handle it?

Doctor: Well, a lady went through it couple of weeks ago. She could stand the pain. Then another man did it too, he screamed.

Me: That’s not helping at all!!!

Doctor: Well, you decide.

Me: Aw heck, let’s just go for it.

A nurse led me to a cold room then to a bed. The doctor followed with a syringe on his hand. The nurse started spraying something really cold on my foot.

Doctor: OK, you ready?

Me: Yea…. I’m ready… OMYGOD!!!!!!

I screamed so loud, I think everyone at the clinic could hear me.

Doctor: Almost done. Almost done.

Me: (cold sweat) (gasping)

********

Let me tell you this: It was THE MOST PAINFUL thing that ever happened to me in my whole 20-something years of life!! Trust me, you would NEVER want to have a needle going through your foot. SUPER PAINFUL I tell you!!!! And thank goodness I never screamed F*ck or Sh*t .. or anything crude - which I normally would. Instead, I screamed OMYGOD. Hahahhahaha!

Well to cut story short, the doctor burned the callous with a special burner - it was really hot, I could feel the heat even when my foot was numbed. I had no idea what he did after, but I know he cut my foot open and dug through the layer of skin (or probably flesh?) to remove the stupid callous.

The result?

A bandaged foot with a heavy gauze to stop the bleeding.
Oh, please ignore the pink sock. I dislike seeing the bandage on my foot.

I was given some painkiller to help ease the pain after the numbing effect wears off. Man, it hurts like f*ck! I can feel the burned effect and the void space on the foot.

I text my dad and told him about the experience. He replied:

Wa, you not malu to cry kah there?

Well, this kind of pain.. how not to cry?! :-(

PS: Some custom pens as gifts to me would probably help ease the pain.. *hee*

Lol… i know much did it hurt. Once, I had a bad in-grown toe nail on toe thumb. the edge grew into my flesh and it was freaking painful. the doctor hv to cut the toe nail away and the rotten flesh.

The doctor jabbed me straight without any spray. lol… it was so painful that I wasn’t able to scream. I gigit the given gauze. The doctor potong my toe nail out and cut away the rotten flesh. lol… 6 hours later when the numb effect wore off, the pain kicked in. Even the painkiller wont help.

Hope you get well soon :)

MYGAWD, Ian. That was horrible! But I’m glad it’s all over now! Thanks for sharing your experience. It made me feel so not alone in this.. *hee*

Alamak! Really-really-really painful? But then betul juga, if kena pijak pebbles pun sakit..what more kalu kena inject.

Tapi tidak apa, callous sdh buang…now you just concentrate on getting your left foot back to its beauty shape again :)

Ya bah chegu.. really-really-really painful tau. I won’t recommend anyone to experiment it on their foot… LOL!

Poor Cindy girl. Hope your feet will be back to normal. Bad callous! Bad callous! Okay now, it’s gone. *pat pat*

Should have asked your dad to treat the callous why need a handsome doctor, so you cannot screamed the word f*ck afraid he might misinterpret you.. :D

Cannot wait till I see my dad then only remove lah.. the callous is getting more painful as the day goes by. And besides.. hehe.. if I asked my dad to do for me, I might scream all those crude words and then risk getting penampar! LOL! LOL!

Hahaha! So funny la this post!! Tapi brani la ko.. If me, mintak kasi pengsan dulu.. But now you have your beautiful foot back without warts, callous, or whatever! Hehe…

Hahaha.. berani konon. I think if I have to go through it one more time, I’d ask the doctor to kasi pengsan me first. I’m not going through that pain once again!!!! >.<

Hope your foot gets better soon! :) Look on the bright side, at least you got a hot doctor and not some sweaty bald one. Hehe At least that should have made it worth it!
