The title above is a direct translation of the Malay word for “bodoh sombong”. Usually used to refer a person who’s stupid but doesn’t know he’s one.

Bunny took me to his workplace today – which is a music store – and I must say, it’s quite fun. Not because I have my loved one working over there (which is of course, one of the good reason to be here la.. hehe) but because I could see/meet a lot of people from every walk of life: from talented musicians to not-so-talented musicians to NO-TALENT wannabes musicians who wouldn’t admit (or perhaps they didn’t know?) about their zero knowledge in music.

Like this one particular walk-in customer this afternoon. This young lad walks in with his girlfriend (I assume it’s his girlfriend lah, since he looked so young). Knocks on the guitar and said to her, “Hmm.. this is a fake Ovation.” In an instant, I wanted to burst in a maniacal laughter .. but I had to restrain myself, of course. I mean.. whaaa? A guitar that sells about RM5,055 EACH is a fake? When it was CLEARLY stated on the tag as MADE IN USA, NEWEST VERSION and.. my goodness, I have to rephrase this.. selling at a freaking RM5,055! Even the Chinamen would sell fake stuffs at a cheaper price.

Perhaps it’s the ego that’s talking. Trying to impress his girlfriend with his ZERO knowledge perhaps. Oh well, perhaps talking c*ck (as it is known here in Malaysia) is much better than studying seo marketing services. lol
