What is rapid detox?

No. Individuals who would like to undergo a rapid detoxification program should have consulted to a doctor and had been certified healthy. Aside from these precautionary actions, strict medical supervision is strongly recommended when undergoing a rapid detox program.
Who else can benefit from rapid detox?
A few years ago, the ‘rapid detoxification method’ had been hailed as the biggest breakthrough in drug rehabilitation. Researches on the benefits and effectiveness of this program had been carried by major institutions involved. Rapid detox was considered as a magical solution to drug addiction; an instant cure to a disease; and a quick fix or instant rehabilitation from drug abuse.
How effective is rapid detox, anyway?
Traditional drug rehabilitation treatments are often painful and risky due to the withdrawal periods. When rapid detoxification came into light, rehabilitation was not so painful anymore.
The method goes like this: the patient shall be placed under sedation while opiate receptors block his brains from any opiates. To accelerate the physical reactions to rapid withdrawal, some additional medications shall be administered. After 4 to 6 (mild drug dependency), or 12 to 48 hours (heavily dependent to drugs), the patient shall awake with no more drug dependency-and no memory of physical suffering from withdrawal.
Well here comes the bad news: Its effectiveness is short-lived.
So if you think you need some rapid detox, it’s best that you do some extensive reading and read up reviews about it. There’s pros and cons of it, but at the end of the day, it’s all about your choice.
