And then I go the usual, “The salon salah gunting, and since KK is so damn hot, I had to opt for shorter hair. It’s ok bah, hair can grow.”

I said that way too often, I can memorize the sentence already! ha ha

That happened last weekend when we were back home for our cousin’s wedding. Such a fun weekend that everyone had a good time and was lacking of sleep – all thanks to the non-stop boozing. Ha ha! The best part was, an uncle of mine brought 5 tajaus of Tapai all the way from Keningau! He said that despite having all those branded beers and liquors, we must stick to our root and enjoy some traditional local brew. Good gawd! I got ‘sioponed’ a few times that I end up throwing up a lil. Eeeek!

I also end up sleeping at the living room for the few nights we were home – I couldn’t be bothered to sleep in the room because I’d rather sleep outside where all my cousins, uncles and aunts ended up as well. lol. Another uncle and aunt of mine slept in my bedroom, obviously drunk from the tapai as well.

Some relatives even mentioned that come my wedding, it will be so much grander than this – a scary statement that was. I can already imagine all the tapai and booze! Then after the wedding, comes the “when are you gonna have a baby???”. Oh we will, after you guys donate us some cotton tale designs crib bedding set. Hahahahhahhaha!

Also, like I always said, my plate is always full. You don’t know the kind of stress I’m having working with some clients (graphic design stuff). The amount of changes they made for a certain image, the time they took to decide which color and size they prefer, the many additional image they want and yet, berabis asking for discounts! Mati la saya. This is not like sale at Marcus discount medical uniforms where you can get diskaun-diskaun ikut suka hati. *sigh*

But anyway, like I said before: i love this job. This is the one job that I will end up doing for the rest of my life: unless I end up being a gym trainer lah. That seems nice too! *hee*

Sometimes I think that 24 hours is not enough for a day. I don’t have enough time to work on my graphic design thingy, web projects, T-Shirt design, Castleville (*hee*), play with my dog, clean the house, cook dinner (ohhh I cook nowadays! ha ha) and rest! Even my emails are bulking up and I don’t have the time to reply each and every single email inquiries. Can I hire answering services for this?? Penat lahhh…..

But no matte what, rain or shine, I am gonna drag my ass to the gym today. I MUST!

I sleep very late at night working on my mini studio, I wake up when the sun rises (no thanks to my ever so faithful alarm clock – Chiko) and I am soooo tired by noon. And still I didn’t catch any nap: because there’s so many things to do! I wish I could go out and shop a little, because currently I am so crazy about incense. Yes, those sweet smelling stuff that clouds your house when you burn ‘em. Those things you see the priest burn during Easter mass. Those incense. Oh God, I could burn them all day and still not sick of the smell. In fact, it made my apartment smells like.. heaven. Ha! (If you guys are living around KK area, you can get these incense from either Daughters of St. Paul or at this shop selling holy items at Citymall. There’s also lots of holy items that you can buy as gifts for your family and friends. Like those tiny little girls first communion gift ideas they’ll show you if you ask. So cute!)

Where was I?

Ah. I was tired. Still am tired. Tonight, I’m gonna work on this blog for a client who’s giving away the blog design to a cousin of hers as Valentine’s Gift. LOL. Talk about belated gift. :-P I know, I know… blame it on my piling work! And if this blog design is not done by tonight, then I would have to push it to another day because the project I mentioned previously (I think I mentioned it in my other blog?? I can’t remember!)..the one that I’m doing for the State Govt? Well.. it starts tomorrow. I can NOT prolong their project because, well..they’re the State Govt. I wouldn’t want to be thrown into jail for..er.. prolonging their project. :-P

Awright, gonna stop posting and get back to work!

You should see how crazy my puppy gets at time: biting my toes, pulling out clothes from the dryer, biting the walls to get the paints off, chewing on the shoes/slippers, vomitting on the rugs, chewing off the wooden tiles.. all while I’m working! Can you imagine how stressful that could be? Especially when ideas came pouring in and you just had to get up and stop your puppy from swallowing yet another piece of paper from the fax machine. And don’t get me start on those diamond blades-like sharp teeth he has!

What I’m trying to say is… I’m so stressed today, I’m having a can of Shandy!

Lots of work, huh? Enough to get me brand new log bedroom furniture if I want. But nah… And mind you, that picture was taken about a week ago. The workload has increased!

I don’t know ’bout you, but I’m beginning to love my work-from-home job. Not that I don’t like to work in an office, the truth is, I’ve been to a few job interviews and ALL of them couldn’t offer me a salary figure that AT LEAST about the figure that I was earning back in the West… Not trying to show how picky I am, but at THIS age and the amount of experience I have, offering me a salary of RM1,500 or RM2,000 is quite..rude. Maybe if I am a fresh graduate, maybe I’ll consider. Or at least if it’s a 5 days a week and 8 hours per day working, I might consider. But to work 12 hours per day?

I’d rather eat fresh creams.

But this thing I’m working on, I can say that it’s starting slow but steady. I have a feeling that the year of Dragon will be kinder to me.

So I strike ‘Jackpot’ this week. I got the project from the state govt! Yay me! I am to design a new website for this particular dept in Sabah..and I am all psyched about it. Maybe ini lah yang dikatakan ‘blessings in disguise’. I lost ALL my design works and expensive font collections when my laptop passed away suddenly.. and to top it off, I had to fork out my savings to get a brand new desktop. *sigh* But at least the income I’ll get from the project will double the amount of money I spent on my brand new desktop. Thank you, Lord! :-)

With this new project, I might be going out more often than I prefer..you know, meeting with them guys at the dept to see what ‘feel’ they would really like to see on their website and all. Maybe investing in a good tanning supply would be a great idea right now, since I’m gonna get tan from all this outing afterall. *hee*

Anyway, I am to submit 3 different design suggestions.. and I’m already done with 1! (slept at 3am last night..just working on it)

Now back to work I go.. but where’s my teh susu???!

Well last week, we went hunting for my studio table when we spotted a music school with a ‘violin’ as a logo. I instantly thought of my poor old violin and how it could be glorified with a great playing by me, if only I could play that well lah… so I thought, why not sign up for a violin class? ..And then we arrived at the furniture shop and I TOTALLY forgotten all about the class. *sigh*

Maybe I’ll get Bunny to drive me there this Saturday to inquire about their lesson. Maybe sign up for a keyboard lesson as well and try my fingers on those yamaha dgx-505! But then again…. my poor old violin is back in the West, sitting somewhere in the corners of my brother’s condo. LOL

The process of ‘beautification’ of the apartment has finally begin, slowly. I’ve asked Bunny to take some shots of the place for the ‘Before and After’ picture later. Once it’s done, I will show you the pictures. He he. Right now, I still need to get A LOT of stuff. I want to have a mini garden, I want to have a composter, I want to have a small reading room.. ai, macam-macam lah! Cuma $$$ saja tiada. LOL

OK, gotta start working on the walls. Paint fun, here I come!
