Biskut Cornflakes

I found a recipe for a simple and quick cookie from the Internet that I’d love to share with you all (and actually keep it for my own reference). I’ve made it last night and it tasted sooooooooooooooo good, everyone at home said it tasted like a professional baker. LOL

By the way, the recipe will be written in Malay because I am too lazy to translate it. But if you don’t understand Malay and would like to try out this recipe, just send me an email and I will give you the English version. :-)

Biskut Cornflakes

1 buku butter atau marjerin (but I prefer butter)
½ cawan gula
2½ cawan tepung naik sendiri
½ kotak cornflakes
Ceri (untuk hiasan)

1. Pukul butter & gula hingga kembang
2. Masukkan tepung & cornflakes
3. Sudukan dalam papercup, hias dengan ceri
4. Bakar selama 20 minit

Give it a try, I guarantee you.. it’s really YUMMY!!!! Easy and simple to do, right? 😛 The ingredients are so much cheaper than getting an rv insurance quote too!

PS: I might post a picture of the cookies later for you all to see. *hee*

I Found A New Place To Eat

Since I moved here about a month ago, I haven’t been exploring much about this place. Well, Bunny DID took me around, but being me, a person who’s really bad with directions, I couldn’t remember most of the roads to save my life! The only thing I know is how to get to 7-Eleven, to the Chinese coffee shop, the mamak stall.. or the nasi lemak stall. That said, for the past 4 or 6 weeks, my lunch was either chicken rice or nasi lemak.

But today yesterday and today was different, because smarty me accidentally found a Malay stall that sells nasi campur! WOOHOOO.. what joy!! And the best part was, their price are really economy! (That means I could save a lot of $$. *heehee*) I can foresee myself being a loyal customer to them, for at least another month. 😀

And for now, I’m contemplating whether or not to eat the cupcakes my brother had lovingly bought for me.

He bought like 6 cute cupcakes for me.. Isn’t he nice? Hehehe.. And isn’t it cute? (the CUPCAKE I mean) So cute that I couldn’t bring myself to eat it… 😛 Ah well, maybe I’ll just pass it for now and eat it later tonight. In the meantime, I gotta google the word “conversion rate optimization” and see what it means. Learn something new everyday ma..

Ghosts In The Graveyard

Not that I’ve seen one at our kampung graveyard, but I found this recipe from Yahoo! this morning – and thought, Eh..I should keep this recipe for future reference. Who knows lah, maybe senang-senang nanti aku bake lagi.. Mwahahah!

15 OREO Chocolate Sandwich Cookies , crushed
3 cups cold milk
2 pkg. (4 serving size) JELL-O Chocolate Flavor Instant Pudding & Pie Filling
1 (12 ounce) tub COOL WHIP Whipped Topping, thawed, divided
3 CAMEO Creme Sandwich Cookies
Decorating gel
5 candy pumpkins
10 pieces candy corn

1. Pour milk into large bowl. Add dry pudding mixes. Beat with wire whisk 2 min. or until well blended. Let stand 5 min. Gently stir in 3 cups of the whipped topping and half of the cookie crumbs. Spread evenly into 13×9-inch baking dish; sprinkle with the remaining cookie crumbs.

2. Refrigerate at least 1 hour. Meanwhile, decorate creme sandwich cookies with decorating gel to resemble tombstones. Set aside until ready to use.

3. Insert decorated cookies into top of dessert just before serving. Add candies. Drop large spoonfuls of the remaining whipped topping onto dessert to resemble ghosts. Cover and store leftover dessert in refrigerator.

Macam senang saja bikin kan? Heheh. I shall try this one someday – if I can find the bahan-bahan lah. 😛

I Baked!

Yes, I made that chocolate cake I posted a few days ago. Muahahaha! Not bad lah the taste, tasted really chocolaty. Well I’m no big fan of anything chocolate, so I probably won’t be eating this much. But I must admit, the chocolate toppings tasted real good! 😛

More pics here.

Steamed Chocolate Cake

Ingredients (for the cake):
1 ¾ cup flour
¾ cup cocoa powder
1 cup sugar
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp soda bicarbonate

Iti Noh Koihadan Do Ginavo Ku

For all you non-kampung (village) people, this plant is called Lomiding.

Well uhm, it actually doesn’t look that way – this was after we plucked the leaves from it’s stem. It’s a kind of local delicacy, vegetable for us local Sabahan. (Probably amongst the Kadazan-Dusun people only.. Correct me if I’m wrong?) Taste wise? I dunno how to explain, but it’s yummy lah! Else, come over and I’ll let you try some. Ha! Ha! Ha! Sorry, am not really the right person to refer to when it comes to food taste. 😛

We actually had this vege yesterday evening, cooked by my mom. Sedap oh.. lama ndak makan bah ni. I’m not sure what Lomiding is in English, can anyone tell me?

This post reminds me of that song (I forgot by whom):

“Linundus dilo Kinabalu….
Au nogi mangakan do lomiding.”
