Sick

I’ve been sick for over 4 days now, and in that span of 4 days, I have been bed-ridden too. I can’t stand on my feet without feeling sick and nauseated, I can’t eat without feeling like throwing up, and I can’t work on my latest project! Ugh, I hate having this gastric pain. (I’m suspecting it’s gastric pain because I have history of this.. hopefully it’s not something bad! Like bad ulcer or something.. *touch wood*) Well, I don’t wanna see a doctor just yet - I’ve been taking meds after meds I got from the pharmacy when I could still walk. Sometimes when the pain becomes unbearable, I’d cry and pray to God. That helps, tremendously.. for a while.

Maybe I should go see the doctor. But I don’t think I could drive/walk that far.

God, this pain makes me feel like dying is the best option! :-(

How Come Like That?

I spent like almost 5 months being back in Sabah, yet, none of my friends asked me out to yumcha or clubbing.. or whatever interesting activity lah. In fact, my long break in Sabah was spent back home at my parents’ place where I did plant corns, veggies, went fishing, helped my dad at his kebun sawit, church, rosary prayers from house to house - none which involved alcohol, party, dancing etc. (LOL)

Now that I’m back in KL, my friends back in Sabah started calling, sms’ing.. even IM’ed me, asking me out to party with him/her/them.

Veeeeery nice of you people. You might as well ask me out to join ya’ll at some posh place like the las vegas suites. Ha! Ha!

PS: To my KL friends: I AM FREE FOR SHOPPING TRIP!!!!! xD

Wake Me Up When November Ends

Woke up pretty late this morning due to the meds I took last night. Kinda like them tho, they worked like sleeping pills for me. LOL

Received a deposit payment from a customer, so I guess I’d be putting on my thinking cap today and start working on another custom design. Oh do wish me luck. I still have an allergy to deal with at the moment. Sucks big time! I also need to do some major cleaning on my bedroom as they looked kinda messy right now. Even the computer desks aren’t in order. Ye lah.. dah 5 months tinggalkan this room. Muahaha!

OK, back to work. Toodles!

A short summary on my agenda.

9:00AM: Woke up, took a shower
9:30AM: Dumped dirty laundries into washing machine
10:00AM: Went to see a doctor for my allergies
11:00AM: Breakfast at a mamak restaurant
11:45AM: Hanged laundry outside
12:00PM: Got sleepy from medication. Took a nap.
2:40PM: Woke up to the sound of rain.

RAIN?!!!!!!

Seriously, mother nature hates my laundry, and I don’t know why….

..that’s how my niece, Joanne would greet me whenever she sees me. Joanne is the daughter of my cousin, Jerry. She lost her mother to cancer at a very young age of 8 months.

Tomorrow, I might be heading to Penampang, to my aunt’s house - where Joanne now lives. We’re celebrating All Soul’s Day on the 2nd of November and we’re having a family gathering on that day, to honor my late grandmama.

Now I’m thinking of buying some early birthday gift for Joanne. I know her birthday is somewhere mid November, I think lah. Haha. And since she’s a girl aged 2 (or was it 3??) I think I should get her something cute and pink. I’m thinking of this one:

I saw this cute pink sofa from this website that sells unique baby gifts. Priced at $129.95 tho.. adui.. mati aku. Tu belum masuk shipping cost lagi tu..

I wonder if we can find something similar in Sabah? In Kota Kinabalu more precisely.. Cutelah.. can imagine having Joanne sitting on one. She’d definitely love it - and I might even get a big smile from her cute little face saying:

Ghosts In The Graveyard

Not that I’ve seen one at our kampung graveyard, but I found this recipe from Yahoo! this morning - and thought, Eh..I should keep this recipe for future reference. Who knows lah, maybe senang-senang nanti aku bake lagi.. Mwahahah!

Ingredients
15 OREO Chocolate Sandwich Cookies , crushed
3 cups cold milk
2 pkg. (4 serving size) JELL-O Chocolate Flavor Instant Pudding & Pie Filling
1 (12 ounce) tub COOL WHIP Whipped Topping, thawed, divided
3 CAMEO Creme Sandwich Cookies
Decorating gel
5 candy pumpkins
10 pieces candy corn

Directions
1. Pour milk into large bowl. Add dry pudding mixes. Beat with wire whisk 2 min. or until well blended. Let stand 5 min. Gently stir in 3 cups of the whipped topping and half of the cookie crumbs. Spread evenly into 13×9-inch baking dish; sprinkle with the remaining cookie crumbs.

2. Refrigerate at least 1 hour. Meanwhile, decorate creme sandwich cookies with decorating gel to resemble tombstones. Set aside until ready to use.

3. Insert decorated cookies into top of dessert just before serving. Add candies. Drop large spoonfuls of the remaining whipped topping onto dessert to resemble ghosts. Cover and store leftover dessert in refrigerator.

Macam senang saja bikin kan? Heheh. I shall try this one someday - if I can find the bahan-bahan lah. :-P

Damnit, I’m itching all over! I couldn’t sleep properly for the past 2 nights because I would get up in the middle of the night and start scratching my body. Sialan! And the worse part is, I don’t even know WHICH food causes the allergies, because I had a few types of seafood last Sunday - fish, clams, crabs. I’ve taken some meds, yet the itch won’t stop.

ARGHH.. matilah macam ni! There’s rosary prayers in our home tonight and I’ll be scratching somewhere at the corner while everyone chant the Hail Marys. Eeeeeee… cb betul!

Small Talk: I’m thinking of buying those Jordi Labanda pens again. They’re so cute!!

I Baked!

Yes, I made that chocolate cake I posted a few days ago. Muahahaha! Not bad lah the taste, tasted really chocolaty. Well I’m no big fan of anything chocolate, so I probably won’t be eating this much. But I must admit, the chocolate toppings tasted real good! :-P

Steamed Chocolate Cake

I was blog hopping when I saw Mrs. Graig’s post on Steamed Chocolate Cake. Mata pun trus terbuka besar bah nampak the pic!! So I thought, ey, why not post it in my blog for my future reference? So I “curi” lah her pic and the recipe. Ehehehe..

Ingredients (for the cake):
1 ¾ cup flour
¾ cup cocoa powder
1 cup sugar
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp soda bicarbonate
1 cup vegetable oil
½ can evaporated milk
3 eggs (beaten)
1 tsp vanilla essence
1 cup of boiling water

Ingredients (for the topping):
150g cooking chocolate
50g butter
2 tbsp cocoa powder
2 tbsp vegetable oil
2 tbsp sugar
¼ cup of fresh milk

PS: Ada sembahyang rosary di rumah kami on the 29th. I think I’m gonna bake this for them (and for myself. LOL) I’m sure after this, I’m gonna need a looooot of fat burners to clear off those extra pounds. :þ

Why I Hate The Petronas Deepavali 2008 Ad

Bet you’ve seen this one on TV. (Excluding you non Malaysian residents la)

I can only say one thing about this ad. F*ck la! Oops, that’s two words.

Why?

Because this freaking ad made me cry while folding the clothes with my sister! Omaigod lah… why, why, WHY would they “kill” the father before he could even see his son become a pilot? Why? Freaking WHY?!!! Give lah the “macha” chance a bit!

The fact that my family laughed at me crying adds salt to the wound. Mom even said, “Aiya, the father worked too hard, that’s why die early loh..”

Seriously, why make a tear-jerking ad like that? What’s the point? This is Deepavali. At least make an ad that shows some LIGHT, happiness. Wouldn’t it be better for the father to see his son finally “owns a plane”???

F*ck la. Am still pissed. Hit you Petronas people with the golf shoes then you know!
